Route description
By car follow the A6 (Amsterdam-Emmeloord) motorway and take exit number 10, direction Lelystad via Larserdreef. Turn left onto the Torenvalkweg and follow this until you reach the Knardijk dyke. Turn right onto the Knardijk dyke. The visitor centre lies on your left, beyond the railway viaduct, where you can park. The visitor centre is not easy to access by public transport, as the nearest bus stop is an hour’s walk away. You can hire a bike in Lelystad; from the train station it takes about half an hour to cycle to the visitor centre by following Buizerdweg/Knardijk. The bird hide is located immediately adjacent to the visitor centre.
